The general public and all Free Folk are invited and most welcome to attend this event. The more the merrier! You don’t have to be in a band to enjoy quality arrangements and entertaining performances.

The Ninny Hammers wish to invite you to celebrate arranging music for LOTRO by staging an event in a breath taking location. The Blue Theatre in Minas Tirith is a fantastic location for the performing arts, deserving not to stand empty but to be full and functional.

I propose a Song Contest in The Blue Theater.
Date and time: June 4th at 2.00pm (st).
Location: The Blue Theatre, Player’s Tier (4th) Minas Tirith Gondor.
(Before you all tell me Minas Tirith is far away for young adventurers, let me tell you from South Bree the Stable Master will send you on a swift pony/horse for the cost of 1 Mithril Coin!- All account types)
Here is my idea: Bands from any server of LOTRO can sign up to compete, each band prepares one arrangement lasting longer than three minutes but no longer than five minutes. We all gather in the theater, following an order to be drawn at random (presented by Small LOTRO Adventures with Lizzy and Lilikate – Posted to YouTube). Each band presents their song. On a one band one vote policy each Band Leader submits a vote for which arrangement they/their band prefers. The Ballot is secret on the day of the event but I (Lilikate) do intend on publishing results after the event.
The most voted for band gets to perform their song again and they select which server we journey to in 2017.

- Band leaders need to sign up, there are no limits on band sizes.
- Please sign up here (The Ninny Hammers Guildlaunch Site – Links above and below) or send me a personal letter on Landroval and I will add you on the forum thread.
- 1 sign up per band is all that is required to enter you into the proceedings.
- Each band leader has one vote for the song he/she or his/her band chooses. Please no voting for yourselves, and no voting for friends, just because they are your mates. Votes cast are for the best arrangement in your opinion.
- Play order will be chosen at random by Lizzy Buggins in a recorded Small LOTRO Adventures, which will be uploaded to YouTube.
- The Ninny Hammers will open and close the Event but will not be eligable for the competition.
- Each band is asked to perform a single song, no shorter than three minutes but not exceeding five minutes.
- There will be two awards given on the night, The Blue Theater Song Award and The Buggins Boast.
- The Blue Theatre Song Award will be given to the band who has most votes from band leaders, Buggins Boast is my personal choice of best arrangement of the event.
- The Winning band of the Blue Theatre award gets to select the server for 2017’s event 😀 However the location will remain the same, unless we get other wonderful Theaters introduced to LOTRO.
- Band Leaders can send private word of their song title if they wish to have it confirmed no other band have chosen the same song. I know some folks don’t mind comparing the same arrangement from different bands. On the other hand, leaders prefer to make sure there is no overlap. I have decided to opt for a first dibs gets the song and no repeats, just to try and make the contest as fair as possible.
- Band Leaders are free to change their song, as long as it has not been selected by another competing Band. Cut off date is the 3rd June all song choice titles should be sent to Lilikate so I can prepare your introductions 🙂
